Viola Private Wealth has appointed a financial adviser from Mutual Trust, Australia's largest multi-family office, to deliver bespoke, wealth management solutions.
The new appointee, Angus Mann, has a 17-year career in financial services, most recently at Mutual Trust, which was established nearly a century ago to manage the affairs of the Baillieu family office and expanded in 2017 to include the Myer Family Company.
At Mutual Trust, Mann led the Sydney office in funds under management and revenue.
Prior to that, Mann was a private wealth manager at Morgans Financial, having earlier worked as a private client advisor at Bell Potter Securities, with previous roles also at Macquarie and CommSec.
Mann will collaborate closely with families on defining their wealth's purpose, addressing intergenerational goals, and creating a legacy, according to a statement from Viola.
"His approach includes working with external advisers across philanthropy, estate planning, and consulting, further enhancing the firm's ability to deliver bespoke solutions tailored to each family's unique vision and aspirations," the statement said.
Viola chief executive Sean Ward said Mann's experience and strong alignment with the firm's philosophy makes him a perfect fit.
"Angus's ability to guide families through the complexities of wealth management, while always prioritising their broader goals, will be a tremendous asset to our clients," he said.
"Bringing Angus onto the team is a clear sign that Viola Private Wealth is achieving its objective of attracting the industry's best talent as the firm continues to grow."
Mann said he looks forward to working with a team that prioritises long-term relationships and "helps families define the purpose of their wealth," ensuring it serves their needs today and leaves a meaningful legacy for future generations.
